Highly trained and dedicated professionals are the cornerstone of a great long term care facility. Their work supports the well-being of each resident and each family they are fortunate enough to care for.
At The Edgewood Centre, we believe the quality of our staff is essential to the achievement of our mission. We look for enthusiastic and caring individuals who can, and will, offer an exceptional level of customer service.
Edgewood: A Tradition of Caring
For over 30 years, The Edgewood Centre has been offering an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to health care.
We know that staff people want to be challenged and that using their skills and expertise is important on the job. At our skilled nursing facility, staff people have the opportunity to build their resume and gain valuable experience in a variety of disciplines.
Edgewood offers skilled nursing care, including orthopedic and cardiac rehab, wound care, and hospice services. In addition, Edgewood offers pediatric care for children requiring 24 hour nursing services, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and long term care for residents in our 156 bed NH nursing home facility.
Benefits, Coverage, and On-Site Child Care
The Edgewood Centre offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits packages including medical and dental coverage, 401K plans, disability and life insurance, and paid vacation and sick time.
Beyond the more traditional benefits, Edgewood also offers an on-site licensed child care facility and is the only nursing home in New Hampshire to do so. From 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. the center is open and staffed with a team of teachers who lovingly care for children 6 weeks to 6 years old.
The Edgewood Child Care Center is priced well below any other day care facility in the area (costing an average of $110 per week as opposed to $140-$210 per week elsewhere in the region) and is an exclusive benefit for Edgewood employees.
The program features school-based learning opportunities, field trips, lots of healthy playtime, intergenerational activities with the residents, and hot breakfast and lunch every day.
Wellness Services...For Staff
At The Edgewood Centre, we believe that our staff people are better able to care for others if they also take care of themselves…and we know they deserve it.
Our comprehensive wellness program is a testament to this belief. We offer massage, Reiki, and paraffin treatments not only to our residents and families, but to our staff at monthly wellness clinics held right at the facility.
Envision yourself coming to work, dropping your child off with her friends for breakfast, working with a team of other dedicated professionals, and having a shoulder massage on your break. Sound great? There’s more.
Hands-On Management
Nursing home jobs can be challenging but with the support of great team members and management people who are there with encouragement and a helping hand, the rewards are tremendous.
The Edgewood Centre’s owner and administrator are on-site and, as LNAs, are on the floor helping out and encourage their managers to do the same. The difference is, at Edgewood people know who you are and see first hand the good work you do.
Diversity, Opportunity, and Growth
The Edgewood Centre is committed to having a diverse staff. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, or physical or mental disabilities.
We employ people from all walks of life and know it is sometimes challenging to find a schedule that works…that fits in with the rest of life’s demands. To accommodate that, we offer very flexible scheduling options, Baylor programs, and weekend and evening incentives.
Growth is encouraged-promotions from within occur frequently and Edgewood offers tuition reimbursement and scholarship funds so that staff people can continue their education with the encouragement and support of their employer.
