We look for personal recommendations from people we trust and we pay attention to what unbiased rating agencies have to say. We want to make sure our choices are good ones and that we get value for the hard-earned money we pay for things we want and need. Government ratings have just been updated and it's the perfect time to see how skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes measure up.

Dr. MacDuffie is already making quite a splash at Edgewood, where she has an enthusiastic following of residents and families who appreciate her genuine interest in their care, her excellent bedside manner and her well-honed diagnostic and treatment skills. She is in the building 2-3 times each week and her team of physicians and nurse practitioners are on-site Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
