Edgewood Welcomes Dr. Sarah MacDuffie as New Medical Director
A Portsmouth resident, Sarah MacDuffie received her undergraduate education at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. She went on to pursue her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Post-doctoral education included a year-long internship at Portland’s Brighton Medical Center as well as two years of Family Practice Residency and one year as Chief Resident at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and is board certified in both family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. Dr. MacDuffie has been in private practice since 1995, is a member of the active staff at Portsmouth Regional Hospital and has been a clinical instructor at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. MacDuffie lives in the Portsmouth community with her husband and two children. She is a recreational triathlete and enjoys pursuing her family’s interest of the outdoors and the arts.
Residents and families at The Edgewood Centre particularly enjoy the time and attention Dr. MacDuffie lavishes on those in her care. Her focus is on getting to know the older adults who reside at Edgewood and helping them live healthy, joyful lives.
